If you've been wondering....
As of a couple of days ago, the 2024 hurricane season has officially canceled my fall Tinkergarten season. I called to check in on the status of the park that I lead classes at. They informed me that the park is officially closed and not taking reservations for the next two months. There goes my season! I had already had to push is back by 2 weeks due to hurricanes Helene and Milton that hit our part of Florida in the last few weeks, so it wasn't a huge surprise, but it is disappointing nonetheless. Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons to have classes, as it has usually finally cooled off in Florida! I'm definitely feeling a little bummed.
Finding parks that allow paid classes to be held within them is harder than most would think. If I happen to find a park near where I usually lead classes that would allow me to run classes, I may open a new shorter season up for sign-up in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, I am going to try to post some fun activities, book recommendations and thoughts here on my blog, to keep the fun going! I hope you'll keep in touch!
To end, I wanted to say that despite having had to cancel the current season, I hope that you'll spend lots of time outside during this beautiful time of year, enjoying all that nature has to offer. And here's to hoping no more hurricanes for the season!
